Men dressed in army-like attire, driving UPDF car waylay businessman on way from the bank, rob Shs 50 million

Five unidentified men, dressed in army-like attire and driving an army vehicle are being hunted for robbing Shs 50 million from a businessman in Kiyindi Town Council, Buikwe district.
According to our security sources, territorial Police of Nkonkonjeru Police Station is investigating circumstances under which Moses Mugoda, was robbed Shs 50 Million.
The thieves were dressed in an army-like uniform, armed with a sub machine guns and in company of two people in civilian clothes, driving in a green premio with a UPDF number plate at Kidokolo village in Kiyindi Town council, Buikwe District.
It’s alleged that on April 28, 2022 at about 3pm, Mugoda withdrew money (Shs 50 Million) from DTB Bank (Jinja branch) and headed to Kiyindi Town council driving in a Toyota Harrier (white in color Reg. No UBK 425Q) where he has his businesses.
That upon reaching Kidokolo village, he was intercepted by a green Toyota premio with Updf number plate, and immediately put on gun point. He was grabbed off the driving seat and his hands handcuffed and later hooded with a jacket he had in the car and thrown in the back seat of own car. That the three drove him as the Toyota premio followed up to Naziwanga village in Nkonkonjeru Town council, Buikwe where he was abandoned.
According to sources, no arrests have been made and the said money is yet to be recovered.
