President Yoweri Museveni has spoken out about a diplomatic situation in Canada.

Until recently, Amb. Joy Ruth Aceng was Uganda’s ambassador to Canada.

However, following a clash with Uganda’s opposition supporters in Canada, she called out and asked to leave.
In response to the situation, the President is quoted to have said: President Museveni: If Jane Acheng (Uganda’s ambassador to Canada) was expelled from there (Canada), let her come back. What’s she doing there?” Adds that issues of “whites” do not concern him (regarding if it comes with any bilateral relations issues).

State House’s online editor, Nelson Bwire, in a post on X, adds that the President argued that “….Whites should be the ones pleading with us to go there, because we have a wonderful country here.”

“If they don’t want you there, then do not go,” added the President.
