This morning of sunday January 23, 2022 has been a sorrowful day where we woke to the sad news of the passing on of Prof Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile, the Governor of @BOU_Official.

Emmanuel has been the architect of Uganda’s highly acclaimed economic policies that have sustained Ugandas’ s high macroeconomic performance.

Governor Mutebile has passionately maintained macroeconomic stability which is sacrosanct for improving economic activity, mantaining a sound financial sector and sustained growth.

We have lost a giant, an icon and above all, a Rotarian who has selflessly served humanity and has lived a purposeful life. For us as a family, we have lost, the country has lost, Africa has lost and the global economy has lost. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
