2 pupils have been confirmed dead and 5 others injured in a fatal crash today, November 24, 2024, at around 09:30 am at Kabulengwa village, Nansana, involving amotor vehicle registration number UBA 104G Isuzu Elfu and juvenile pedestrians of Golden Primary School.
The incident occurred when the said vehicle, loaded with plastic chairs, while climbing a hilly muram road, lost control and moved backward, ramming into juvenile pedestrians who were moving in an opposite direction.
The incident resulted in the instant death of 2 and injuring 5 others, said Traffic Police Spokesman Michael Kananura.
By press time, victims had been rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Wakiso, for first aid and treatment.
Bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem.
