Ngetta Tropical Holdings Limited (NTH), an oil seed processing company in Lira City, has reportedly closed shop.
A source in the know says that the Company’s Zimbabwean General Manager, Judith, announced the decision to shut down operation on Tuesday morning.
The source says that the GM cited troubled financial times as reason for “sending workers home.”
Only two staff remained at the company premises to “keep the offices open.”
NTH was formerly Lango Cooperative Union. The trouble company bought Lango Cooperative Union in 2015 at a cost reported to be about UGX 1.7 Billion, after the former failed to settle its debt obligation with the Microfinance Support Center Limited.
