Serena Hotel, Kampala and Golden Tulip have moved away from plastic bottles to glass bottles.

Previously, the two hotels were serving their guests water packaged in plastic bottles.

However, lately, they have embraced glass bottles.

“I congratulate Serena Hotel for moving away from plastic water bottles to glass bottles. This is the way to go. I call upon other facilities to follow suit. We must beat plastic pollution,” Barirega Akankwasa, the Executive Director, National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) says.
