One person has been confirmed dead following an accident at Kabankonyo along the Sembabule-Mpigi road.

The deceased has been identified as Christine Nakasaga.

Nakasaga was a passenger on a motorcycle registration number UEM 635G when a State House official vehicle registration number H4DF knocked them, injuring others.

Fiona Rukundo, Mande Amza, Robina Mubyamurira and Daniel Kwateketeka. They were all passengers on the motorcycle and were rushed to Maddu HC IV.

The accident also left occupants of the vehicle injured.

They are driver Cpl Sakwa, L/Cpl Wanda Byasala and Lt Livingstone Musinguzi. Musinguzi was first rushed to Maddu Health Centre IV and later to Mulago National Referral Hospital. Sakwa and Wanda remain admitted at Maddu. Sakwa, Wanda and Musinguzi are attached to State House in Entebbe.  

Police report shows that there was over speeding and recklessness on the side of the driver and rider respectively.
