NABBED: Kisambira Ali
Police in Iganga, working with Kampala Central Police Station (CPS), have arrested another suspect in a growing online impersonation racket targeting Ugandans.
The 22‑year‑old, identified as Kisambira Ali, a resident of Nampirika A village, Bukaye Parish, Nakalama Subcounty in Iganga District, allegedly used the name of the Hajji Yasin Foundation to defraud unsuspecting victims on social media.
According to Busoga East Regional Police Spokesperson ASP Micheal Kasadha, a search and interrogation revealed that the suspect was using a Samsung A05 handset to run eight active TikTok accounts under various usernames, including Ssentongoyasin46, several accounts in the names of “Sengasarah,” and others such as Natasha2026kar and Namerejustine7.

“The suspect is currently detained at Iganga CPS and will be transferred to CPS Kampala, where the case was first reported,” ASP Kasadha said, adding that police have intensified operations to dismantle online fraud networks and launched public awareness efforts “to ensure Ugandans do not fall prey to such scams.”
