Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, and Leader of Opposition, Mathias Mpuuga, have been evacuated from Parliament.

This was shortly after double explosions went off at Parliamentary Avenue and CPS, Kampala.

As a result of these, today’s plenary sitting has been called. Members of Parliament and Staff who are not yet at Parliament have been advised to stay away.

In a tweet, Among confirms that “Today’s sitting of Parliament has been called off. MPs are advised not to come to Parliament.”
