A pastor has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of his colleague pastor, seven of his family members and his followers.

The suspect has been identified as Pastor Twajira Yezu Benard, 64 and founder of Nakwangu Church of Christ Christian Centre. Others arrested are: Eric Kawuki, Shakim Sekyewa, Harriet Kajubi and Harriet Nalweyiso. As a result of the arrest, five people have been recovered and have been identified as Jesca Namuwaya, Sharifah Nampeewo, Muhammad Senabulya and Angel Nakintu.

Regional Police Spokesperson Rachael Kawala says that active search efforts are still on for the other missing victims, including the main suspect, Pastor Samuel Kalibala.
