Photos: Police’s Community Policing team camps in Karamoja

The Head of Community Policing Department, ACP Anatoli Muleterwa, has pitch-camped in the Karamoja sub-region to embark on a Community policing engagement with the locals and local leaders with the aim of reassuring the region of peace and stability.  

This initiative is among the interventions being conducted in the region with support from the European Union under the Development for Northern Uganda (DINU) coordinated by the Office of the Prime Minister. 

ACP Muleterwa is with a team of senior officers from the Directorate of Research, Planning and Development.

Earlier today, the team met with the locals at Lokitelaebu Town Council in Kotido district. 

He has asked the region to stop domestic violence and find better ways of settling disputes.

ACP Muleterwa appealed to raiders to surrender lest they face the full wrath of the law.

On the issue of streets kids, ACP Muleterwa warned against procuring and any connivance to send children to the streets. He said acts of sending children to the streets is criminal.
