POLICE: Museveni recalls Gen. Kandiho, assigns him as Senior Presidential Advisor

President Yoweri Museveni, who also doubles as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, has appointed Maj. Gen. Abel Kandiho as his senior advisor.
The President made a sweeping reshuffle on Friday.
In the reshuffle, AIGP Rtd. Abbas Byakagaba was appointed as the Inspector General of Police. He will be deputized by AIGP James Ocaya.
Although the full list is yet to emerge, we learned that the President has appointed Gen. Kandiho as his senior advisor.
Gen. Kandiho is the former head of the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).
Currently, he serves in the Uganda Police Force as the Chief of Joint Staff (CJS).
With the new appointment, Gen. Kandiho will be sitting at State House.
