An officer attached to Ireda Police Post in Lira Municipality has this afternoon been arrested on orders of the Resident City Commissioner, Emmy Lawrence Egole.

The officer, whose name has not been revealed is said to have gotten drunk, and started beating up members of his community, including his boss – the OC station.

“I have just arrested and handed over this errant police officer to the OC Station for immediate detention after he got drunk and started beating up members of the community neighboring Ireda police post, including the OC outpost. Such indiscipline will not be tolerated,” Egole said.
