The Hoima City Central Police are investigating a murder by shooting that occurred on April 20, 2025, at around 10pm in Lusaka Middle, Kasasiro, Hoima City.
Sources say that D/AIP Kwihangana Reuben, attached to Hoima Rural Police Station, got into a violent scuffle with an unidentified male adult riding a motorcycle (UFE 155P Bajaj Red) after their motorcycles collided. The officer, armed with a pistol, shot the deceased in the head. The victim died on the spot.
Regional Police Spokesman Julius Allan Hakiza confirmed the incident.
Hakiiza says that the scene was visited and documented, the pistol used was recovered with live ammunition and 12 cartridges, and she suspects Kwihangana Reuben was arrested.
By press time, the body was conveyed to Hoima City mortuary for postmortem and possible identification.
“Inquiries are ongoing, and further updates will be communicated as more information becomes available,” said Hakiza.
