Prison Break Exclusive: 11 suspects escape from Police Custody, Cops arrested

A total of 11 suspects have escaped from lawful custody, the Kampala Gazette has learnt.
Well-placed sources say the Central Police Station – CPS – Dokolo is hunting for and probing circumstances under which the said suspects escaped from their cells.
“A case of escape from lawful custody has been registered vide Dokolo CRB 138/2023,” a deep-throat source says. “The officers who were deployed for night duty as cells guard have all been arrested and charged with Neglect of duty.”
Findings show that the doors to the cell was not tempered with. Rather, the suspects exited the cell by cutting one of the iron bars on the ventilators.
Out of the 11 escapees, 09 were pending court while 02 were still under investigations.
“We appeal for support from the local leadership in the hunt for this suspects such that they can be re-arrested and taken to court accordingly,” Regional Police Spokesperson, Jimmy Patrick Okema said in a statement Sunday.
The suspects:
1. Okwang Raymond – Theft.
2. Owiny Innocent – burglary and theft.
3. Adep Allan – burglary and theft.
4. Okwir Daniel – Assault.
5. Epong Ivan – theft cash worth 1200000=.
6. Eboga Micheal – going armed in public.
7. Ebwor Oscar – malicious damage, Criminal trespass and Assault.
8. Oryee Aron – defilement.
9. Ekadu Patrick – defilement.
10. Okodi Ronald – being in possession of dangerous weapons.
11. Okello Isaac – theft.
