The Ministry of Public Service is stuck with Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, Dr. Monica Musenero.

Appearing before the Select committee on Science and technology this morning, State Minister for Public Service Mary Grace Mugasa said the Ministry is in a dilemma over the matter.

The Committee had tasked her explain how two Ministers; Milly Babalanda (Presidency) and Dr Musenero (Science) are operating under one Ministry of Presidency. This is after the ministry of science was disbanded.

However, according to Muagasa, the Ministry does not know if Dr Musenero now has to report to Babalanda or Minister Babalanda reports to Musenero.

Kampala Gazette, however, understands that Dr. Musenero’s Ministry does not fall under Presidency but rather under State House.

Dr. Musenero had advised President Yoweri Museveni to have the Ministry placed under State House, to which the man from Rwakitura accepted and a report authored to that effect.

It is not, however, clear why Public Service is stuck with Dr. Musenero.
