Word from Bugolobi is that the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has elevated Rebecca Mukite to the position of Head of PR & International Relations.

Recently, the position fell vacant after Ibrahim Bbossa was sourced by the Board of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to head to the Tower as the Assistant Commissioner Public & Corporate Affairs. Bbossa starts work at URA tomorrow, December 1, 2021.

Friendly sources at UCC say Mukite, who takes on her new role starting tomorrow has been the Manager Public & International Relations since May 2019.

“Her appointment is a promotion,” a friendly source said in a text message: “That does not come with ease. You have to be a performer.”
