Reshuffle: Museveni appoints Global Communication Guru Asio Omaswa as New PPS

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Gloria Asio Omaswa as his new principal private secretary (PPS).
She replaces Dr. Kenneth Omona, who has been sent to the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) as Minister of State for Northern Uganda.
Omaswa goes to State House with over 20 years of experience in the communication industry across East Africa, Europe, and North America.
Her strong understanding of communication strategy for the projects she handles is something to fall for. With a passion for understanding consumer behavior both online and offline, Omaswa ensures that strong strategic thinking underpins the direction that your brand takes, ensuring that you ultimately meet your communication objectives. Omaswa studied law at Makerere University and attended the Law Development Center before entering the communication world, eventually earning a masters in communication strategy at the Brand Center, VCU, USA.
By the time of her appointment, Omaswa was the Chief Executive Officer of Kedajo, a local NGO in Kampala.
