Ezra Byakutangaza
National Resistance Movement’s Ezra Byakutangaza has promised a better youthhood for Ugandans if elected youth Member of Parliament representing western Uganda.
Ezra says he intends to change the lives of youth through advocating for youth employment and skilling, increasing youth participation in politics and decision making, lobbying affordable capital for youth, and promoting regional integration.

“By advocating for policy reforms, driving digital and technological innovation, promoting cultural exchange, and contributing to peacebuilding and economic development, young people can help create a more unified and prosperous continent,” he says.
He says regional integration is essential for ensuring long-term, sustainable development and fostering stronger cross-border cooperation in Africa.

As NRM prepares for the delegates conference on the 25th of August where delegates will elect their flag bearer for the different youth positions at National Youth Council and those for Youth MPs, Ezra is optimistic that he will hold the flag for his party.
He urges delegates to stand with him and elect him as the party’s flag bearer because he best understands their challenges having faced them first-hand.
“I am not just aware of the challenges we face, I am well exposed to them and I am ready to take on the responsibilities to be that voice in parliament. I am asking not just for your vote but for us to stand together as partners in this journey,” he says.

Ezra faces competition from other contenders including Kakwanzi Elizabeth, Kankiriho Arinda Daisy, Tumwebaze Mwine, and Ampaire Diana Kampe. The seat is currently held by Rugumayo Edson
