Rtd AIGP Kasingye dropped as Police FC Chairman as Club adds 14 new faces to 2022/23 FUFA Big League side

Uganda Police Football Club has dropped Rtd AIGP Asan Kasingye as its Chairman.
He has been replaced by SCP Timothy Halango.
Earlier, the Club unveiled 14 new signings fished during the transfer window.
These include: Kiibi William, Mabirizi Shakib, Kiyingi Murushid, Kibumba Ibrahim (returns), Male Reagan, Ssendi Joel, Nviiri Israel, Kyambadde Rashid, Mutumba Osman, Danjuma Ahmed Aliyu, Peter Ouma, Kakeeto David, Jakony Daniel, Owalamu Martin, Osuna Cosmas and Davis Mutebi (returns).
It was during this the unveiling when SCP Halango was introduced as the new Club Chairman, at an event at the Police headquarters I Naguru.
In his remarks, SCP Halango said: “I welcome new members of the committee and pledge on their behalf that we shall strive to take the club to new heights.”
“You are all aware that the performance of the team last season was unsatisfactory, we are this season playing in the second tier of Uganda’s football. I want to assure you that we are going to participate fully and win it,” SCP Halango said.
According to SCP Halango, Police FC has prepared welcome for the season ahead.
“We have prepared well for the new season which starts on Thursday with home match against Lugazi FC. Our home ground is Kavumba in Wakiso district. We have prepared a good team which we are sure will perform to our highest expectation. The team is so strong, it won the recent inter-forces tournament. I am therefore happy to unveil the new players who have joined the team this last preseason period,” SCP Halango added.
IP Angelo Lonyesi, the Club’s Head Coach says that “The 14 summer signings join the 16 that have been retained from last season’s squad ahead of the 2022/23 FUFA Big League season kick-off on Thursday.” And that “The 30-man squad has since been tasked to fight hard in helping the team return to where it belongs (UPL)”
