Rukh-Shana quits as NTV raids NBS

By Ivan Ssali

Rukh-Shana Namyuimba has left NBS TV, Kampala Gazette has learnt.

The ‘Gayaza Girl’ announced her departure on Saturday, putting a stop to an eight-year career at the Naguru-based-media-conglomerate. Sunday 10 pm will be the last time she anchors news for NBS TV.

“Sunday, 14.1.24, at 10 pm, I drop the Mic as a TV Newscaster and fully step into the world of podcasting, focusing on my three passions – faith, family and firm,” said Namuyimba.

Namuyimba has been in the media for nearly 20 years. She joined NBS TV from NTV Uganda.

Meanwhile, NTV Uganda is rumored to have hired MC Ollo from NBS TV. Until recently, Ollo was presenting the NBS Youth Voice. However, reports indicate that he has crossed to the Serena Hotel based television and will co-host the TNation along with Pam Malaika every Saturday at 11am.
