City lawyer and opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) member, Kakwenza Rukira has been arrested from his residence in Kisasi, a suburb of Kampala.

His lawyer Eron Kiiza confirmed the arrest.

Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) is yet to comment on the arrest.

However, The Gazette understands that his arrest is in connection to a tweet he sent out 22 hours ago.

The above tweet was followed by a number of exchanges with Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s loyalists on Twitter.

Gen. Muhoozi is the Commander, UPDF Land Forces and the First Son.
