Uganda security organs have this morning made a breakthrough in cracking a new rebel group which has in the recent past attacked police stations, killed officers and made away with guns.
The rebel group, Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says is Coalition Of Forces For Change Uganda.
Eight of their members were arrested during the operation at a swamp between Kiboga and Kassanda.
They are: Mosh Makumbi, Stuart Lugendo, John Mulindwa, Teopista Nabukenya, John Masembe, Bob Iyamulemire and Silvester Matovu.
Asked on the motive of the attacks, Enanga said the suspects confessed to having carried out attacks at Police Stations in Bussunjju and Nakasozi, killing four police officers and stealing four guns.
Enanga says two guns have been recovered with 22 ammunitions.
