Seeta: Prominent broker dies at lover’s residence after 3 weeks of dating

A prominent broker identified as Ismail Kigundu, 34, has died under a circumstance currently being investigated.
Kigundu was a resident of Kiguga village, Goma Division in Mukono District, and according to sources, he died on Saturday morning at 21-year-old, Daphine Nakayuwa’s house in the same area. Nakayuwa is a waitress at Enviej Kitchen Hotel.
It’s alleged that after 3 weeks of dating, Kigundu paid a visit to Nakayuwa’s residence on Friday night.
He reportedly spent the night in the living room while Nakayuwa was in the bedroom.
Nakayuwa tells police that in morning, she woke up and greeted him and that “he was normal”
“I went back to her bedroom to organise myself and upon returning to the living room, he was lifeless,” Nakayuwa says.
A matter Vide DEF 03/2023 of Seeta Police Station was filed.
Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the incident.
Owoyesigyire says Nakayuwa has been detained to help in investigations.
By press time, Kigundu’s body was at the city mortuary for a postmortem.
