The Public Accounts Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities, and State Enterprises (PAC-COSASE) has handed over the Managing Partner at Pathways Advocates, Patrick Kiconco Katabaazi, to Parliament Police, over accusations of misappropriating Shs39 billion he got from NAADs to pay tea farmers.

The farmers accused the law firm, Pathway Advocates, of not paying them the full amounts, as Kiconco alleged in his accountability reports to NAADs.

Kiconco, in his accountability to NAADs, claimed to have paid Sirajje Mastiko Shs150,928,485 but the farmer’s bank statement showed only Shs105M was received.

And whereas Kiconco reported to have paid Henry Tukahirwa Shs24,298,160, on the same day, Shs22,417,559 was debited back to the law firm’s account, and the farmer only ended up receiving Shs11 million.

This is a developing story.
