There is a huge theory making rounds on social media regarding a Link Bus accident that happened May 4, 2022 at Ssebitoli on the Kampala-Fort Portal Highway and killed 20 people. 3 others have since succumbed to injuries.
Before this accident, the driver identified as Paul Hassan Ssempagala alias Big Daddy had a squeaky clean record with Link Bus, a company he joined in December 2007. This was the first incident in his 20-year career.
However, following his death, theories are beginning to emerge. A one Musinguzi claims that before the accident, the bus registration number UBA 003S knocked a boda boda rider in Bundibugyo.
Big Daddy was on the driver’s seat.
According to this claim, after a long argument, Big Daddy reportedly asked the complainant to move to Link Bus offices for compensation. Musinguzi says that the man was never compensated after being tossed around. He gave an ultimatum of 2 days. On the second day, Big Daddy died with 19 others.
Since the accident, Link Bus has been involved in a number of incidents. Days ago, one of their buses caught fire at Wakaliga in Kampala as it maneuvered into the city centre from Kasese. Last night, one of their buses, registration number UBG 423 G was reportedly robbed by gunmen in Mityana.
According to Musinguzi, the only way out for Link Bus management is to hunt down the boda boda rider and adequately compensate him.
