The police in Wamala Region are investigating reports of an attempted shooting of the Deputy RDC for Mityana District last evening. According to authorities there, Deputy RDC Prossy Mwanjuzi was attacked, and her vehicle was set on fire near her home in Mizigo Cell, Busimbi Division, Mityana Municipality.

Earlier, Mwanguzi had attended the funeral of lawyer Mahad Gumirason. The deceased was attacked by unknown assailants on Thursday. He succumbed to injuries on Friday. During his funeral on Saturday, Mwanguzi warned his killers and pledged to do all it takes to arrest perpetrators. She was visited at night and left in fear. 

Reports indicate that Mwanguzi had asked for personal security. However, by the time she was attacked, she was yet to get one.
