The headteacher of Tororo Police Primary School, James Papa Okiru, is dead. 

It’s alleged that on Friday, August 30, 2024, at around 1000am at Amagoro B, Eastern Division, Tororo Municipality, Okiru left the house to ease himself in a latrine (outside his house). While there, he collapsed and was found unconscious inside the latrine. He was then carried out by his brothers, who took him to Tororo General Hospital (Private Wing) for treatment. However, he was pronounced dead on arrival. The matter was brought to the attention of the police. During an inquiry, the family told police that Okiru was unwell but that he was on treatment.

A postmortem examination revealed that the deceased’s aorta burst and blood flew back to the heart, hence causing death.
