RIP: Shafiq Wanyama
A Ugandan living in South Africa has drowned to death at his residence.
The deceased has been identified as Shafik Wanyama.
Wanyama died in a swimming pool at his residence in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
“His demise came as a shock to us. We mourn with the family, friends, and relatives of our fallen comrade, and we pray that Allah grants him an eternal rest,” said Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine. Wanyama was one of the NUP party’s mobilizers in South Africa.
Wanyama’s body was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Mayuge on Saturday.
