The officials of the Uganda National Examinations Board – UNEB – are this morning expected to brief the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni ahead of the release of results of Uganda Certificate of Education – UCE – tomorrow – Thursday.
An impeccable source tells Kampala Gazette that that the briefing is scheduled to take place at the State House in Nakasero.
A total of 349,445 candidates sat or UCE between October and November last year.
Of these, 175,923 (50.3%) of the candidates were males, while 173,522 (49.7%) were females. A total of 114,200 (32.7%) of the candidates were funded under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) Programme, while 235,245 (77.3%) candidates are Non-USE. 81 candidates who were inmates in Luzira Upper Prison also sat for the same examination from the Prison.
In late January, UNEB released results for the Primary Leaving Examinations – PLE – 2022.
