Ugandan army has confirmed receiving a notification from the United States government about the unilateral financial sanctions against the Chief of Military Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Abel Kandiho.

However, Army spokesperson Brig. Gen. Flavia Byekwaso says Uganda and the UPDF are disappointed in the U.S government.

The army pledged to seek clarification from the United States government to be able to determine “way forward.”
