The UPDF has dispatched a team from the UPDAF Headquarters under the command of the Deputy Air Force Commander, Maj Gen Charles Okidi, to establish what could have been the caused the MI 24 Chopper to crash Saturday morning in Fort Portal.
According to the army, the chopper “developed a mechanical fault while in flight and the pilot made an emergency landing.”
Fortunately no casualties both to the occupants of the plane and on the ground,” Army Spokesman, Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye said in a tweet.
