Victims of an accident involving President Yoweri Museveni’s convoy have been named.
They are Charles Maka, Joan Nabanja and Eric Elama.
They were riding a motorcycle registration number UPM 260F when they rammed into the convoy at 11:40am along the northern bypass.
No life was lost, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango said.
According to Onyango, Maka is at new Mulago for a scan while Nabanja is at Mengo hospital for treatment.
However, according to Onyango, Elama disappeared from Mulago.
“We want to inform motorists that the Presidential convey has right of way as per section 123 (4) of the Traffic and Road Safety Act 1998 as amended, when the convey is passing you are supposed to park your motor vehicle or motorcycle until when the last vehicle in the convoy passes you that is when you are supposed to join the road,” Onyango said.
Once found guilty, the rider faces a charge of treason (for attempting to kill the President).
