2026 Polls: 3 Incumbent MPs panic as LCV boss eyes seat
By Executive Editor
All is not well in the Central Region district of Lwengo, as any of Twaha Kagabo (NUP, Bukoto South), Isaac Ssejjoba (Bukoto mid-West, NRM), or Muhamad Ssentayi (NRM, Bukoto West) could lose his seat in the 2026 Parliamentary polls.
This as Ibrahim Almalik Kitatta eyes one of the seats. Kitatta is the current LCV Chairperson, Lwengo.
“He will choose any of those constituencies. He has already been doing some work, so he is not new to voters. Besides, he is an NRM man, and so it won’t be very hard for him to sail through,” a source says.
Until recently, Kitatta was very close to the Office of the National NRM Chairman, based at Kyambogo. He used his time to indirectly look for votes ahead of his 2026 MP ambition.
