Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has said that he only believes in God and his father Gen. RTD. Yoweri Museveni and not the ruling party, the National Resistance Movement, NRM.

Gen. Muhoozi is being looked at by a section as the next President. Being the ‘son of his father that he is’, and with the fact that his father is the NRM National Chairman, many would expect Gen. Muhoozi to believe in the current system.

However, in a tweet Friday, Gen. Muhoozi said:

I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe in my father, General @KagutaMuseveni. I certainly do not believe in NRM. In Marxist terms it is probably the most reactionary organisation in the country.

It remains to be seen how Gen. Muhoozi’s alleged Presidential bid shapes up.
