Col. Rtd. Dr. Kizza Besigye
Dr. Kizza Besigye is in the intensive care unit at Mulago Hospital and remains unconscious after collapsing in court on Wednesday afternoon, according to Ingrid Turinawe.
In a post on X on Wednesday night, Turinawe said: “Dr. Kiiza Besigye has just been taken to Mulago Hospital. His personal Doctor who is his sister Dr . Olive Kobusingye has just been allowed to access him. He has been put in ICU , and he is still unconscious. Ugandans, let’s continue to ask God to intervene in this situation.”
Besigye and his aide, Obed Lutale are currently facing charges of treason for plotting to overthrow the sitting government.
