Journalist Solomon Kaweesa has sued National Resistance Movement (NRM) Member of Parliament of copyright infringement.

According to Kaweesa’s lawyers, David Kabanda (Kasambya County, MP) published an audio containing Kaweesa’s voice to fit a narrative for a video praising Land Forces Commander, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, without their client’s permission which they say infringed on his copyrights.

The said material is said to have made rounds on social media to the detriment of Kaweesa’s intellectual property rights yet to Kabanda’s selfish interest.

Kaweesa now wants Shs 100 million in damages.
