An ambulance belonging to the Ministry of Health has this afternoon developed mechanical problems and caught fire, buring beyong recognition a patient who was on board and another.
The incident happened at Kicucu village, Kicucu parish, Kisomoro sub-county in Bundibugyo district along the Kasese-Fort Portal road when an Ambulance registration number UG 4191 M (Toyota Landcruiser) attached to Kasese District Health Services was carrying a patient with others got a mechanical problem and caught fire.
Two people who were on board got burnt beyond recognition while the driver escaped with injuries.
