The Head of Port Health at Entebbe International Airport has died in a road accident this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. James Eyul.

Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is yet to confirm the incident.

However, the Kampala Gazette understands that the incident occurred at Katulukire along Gulu-Kampaa highway in Kiryandongo.

Scanty information indicate that the vehicle of Dr. Eyul, a renowned Golfer, suffered a mechanical breakdown. During that moment, he parked by the roadside and leaned on it as he made some phone calls. However, in that process, he was hit by an unidentified vehicle, killing him instantly.
