Exclusive: URA surpasses Shs 25 trillion target in revenue collection in the FY 2022–2023

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) exceeded its target for revenue collection.
The URA had a target of Shs 25.555 trillion for the recently finished financial year.
According to a reliable source, the taxman collected Shs 57 billion more than the desired amount.
Comparing this to last year, the collection has increased by roughly Shs 3.6 trillion.
URA anticipates collecting Shs 29.7 trillion in revenue for the 2023–2024 fiscal year.
