UNEB Executive Director, Dan Odongo
UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo has set August 14, 2026 as the official date for launching his book titled, From Humble Beginnings.
”This book is a reflection on my journey, from a classroom teacher to a headteacher, and from a civil servant to the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB),” said Odongo in a post on X.
Along this path, he adds that ”I have learned that leadership is not defined by titles, but by service, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people one leads.” ”I have also come to appreciate that while a title may open doors, it is one’s actions, character, and dedication that earn lasting respect. I look forward to sharing this journey with you and celebrating this special milestone together,” said Odongo.
Odongo has been the ED of UNEB since 2016.
During this time, he has succeeded in among others (UNEB) is marked by key achievements: successful implementation of the new lower secondary competency-based curriculum assessments, expansion of inclusive Special Needs Education (SNE) candidate testing, and improved logistical coordination for national examinations in hard-to-reach areas.
