KAMPALA — The Petroleum Authority of Uganda said the government has approved the appointment of a new executive director, following the completion of Mr. Ernest Rubondo’s second term, which ended on Aug. 31, 2026.
The authority said the executive director-designate’s details will be announced later.
In the meantime, the minister of energy and mineral development has appointed Mr. Otonga Michael Ochan, the director of finance and corporate services, as acting executive director effective Sept. 1, 2026.
