Police Exodus SACCO: Vetting Committee Throws Out CP Abubaker Ziwedde

By Executive Editor

A highly placed source tells Kampala Gazette that the Vetting Committee currently identifying suitable candidates for crucial positions in the Exodus SACCO has failed to find the right candidate for the Vice Chairman position.
A number of applicants are said to have showed interest, key of them being CP Abubaker Ziwedde and Francis Okello (of Fire and Rescue Services).
However, none of them was found to be fit to hold the position.
This, ahead of the Tuesday Annual General Meeting – AGM – in which new SACCO bosses are to be elected.
“Only the Vetting Committee can tell why the candidates were dropped,” the source adds.
By press time, no candidate had been identified to appear on the Vice Chair ballot.
It is now not clear whether the current office holder will be given another term or a decision will be taken before SACCO members.
