In accordance with Section 24 of the Engineers Registration Act, Cap 299, the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) has suspended a renowned engineer over professional misconduct.
“ERB informs all stakeholders and the general public of the suspension of Eng. Mubiru Frederick (Reg. No: 605) from practicing engineering for a period of one (1) year, effective 25th April 2025, due to professional misconduct on several projects under his jurisdiction as a professional engineer—structural. This suspension will lapse on 24th April 2026, subject to submission of satisfactory evidence of remedial measures taken to address the identified issues,” reads a notice dated May 8, 2025. “By copy of this notification, the engineer shall hand over all his running projects to the respective employers with immediate effect and provide evidence of the same to the board. The public is further informed that a list of all certified engineers who are legally allowed to practice engineering in Uganda can be accessed from our website at www.erb.go.ug or the ERB offices, Plot 2, Gloucester Avenue, Kyambogo.”
