Allan Okello
Ugandan international and Vipers SC star Allan Okello is on the verge of completing a high-profile move to Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC (Yanga), with the deal reportedly valued at nearly Shs 2 billion.
Sources indicate that Yanga’s owner, Eng. Hersi Said, has already traveled to Uganda to hold advanced talks with Vipers SC president over the possible signing of the attacking midfielder.
If finalized, Okello is expected to be unveiled by the Dar es Salaam-based club in the coming days.
Yanga are believed to be keen on strengthening their squad ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign, and Vipers are reportedly open to letting the player leave for continental football exposure.
Recent market valuations place Okello at around USD 500,000, translating to approximately Shs 2 billion, making him one of the most expensive Ugandan players in recent years.
The 23-year-old has been a key figure for Vipers, known for his creativity, goal-scoring ability, and experience on the continental stage.
