By Davis Mugabi

Kiira Motors Corporation will on October 9, 2023 launch a locally made truck which is able to carry at least one ton of farm produce.

On top of carrying a ton of produce, it produces electricity.

For instance, the electricity it produces can be used to mill maize and add further value.

During the dry season, the truck is able to pump up to 6, 000 liters of water per hour.

A source at Kira Motors says that the engine of the truck was made locally by the Juakalis.

Uganda’s locally made truck named Bingwa.

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to launch the truck as the country marks Independence Day this October.
