Col. Chris Magezi
Col. Chri Mazegi on Friday, March 14, 2025, started a new role as acting army spokesman. This, as Maj. Gen. Felix Kulayigye goes on a 30-day leave.
Col. Magezi is not new in the line of speaking for the army. First, he speaks for the Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), having been his military assistant. Second, Col. Magezi outdid himself in the northern region at the peak of the LRA insurgencies as army spokesman in the region.
Analysts suggest that Col. Magezi is finally settling into an office he has worked up for. Kulayigye was recently promoted from the rank of Brigadier General to the rank of Major General. Analysts suggest that Kulayigye could have grown past the office of army spokesman and that he could be headed for better and bigger things.
