Isaac Musumba
A bailiff has put ex-minister Isaac Musumba on notice.
Pay Go Court Free Bailiffs and auctioneers have given a 30-day notice, after which Musumba’s property in Jinja will be sold off following court orders.
“NOTICE OF SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION/PRIVATE TREATY Duly appointed by the Registrar of the High Court. Under a warrant of attachment and sale of immovable property on the 22nd day of May 2025, we shall proceed to sell the interests of the judgment debtor in the property comprised in FRV JJA694 FOLIO 13 PLOT 496 BLOCK 5 LAND AT LUBANI CENTRAL JINJA DISTRICT MEASURING APPROX. 2.4690 HECTARES (6 acres), which comprises a granite rock that is ideal for road construction (tarmacking), with an estimated millions of metric tons of rock deposits (as per the geological report), unless the said judgment debtor shall pay to us all the money as stated in the warrant plus our fees and disbursements before the date of sale,” reads the notice.
This follows a court defeat at the hands of businessman Shiraz Meghani recently.
Days ago, Musumba lost in the NRM primaries as he attempted to resurrect his political career. Musumba is the former MP and minister of state for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development.
His loss in the recent NRM polls could mean that the 2026 general elections will be next to impossible for Musumba to win.
