Security operatives have arrested National Unity Platform (NUP) digital strategist Andrew Natumanya, popularly known as Tabz, in Kamwokya, Kampala.
Natumanya, a key member of Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine’s, online mobilization team, was picked up on Wednesday under yet-to-be-clarified circumstances.
NUP Secretary General Lewis Rubongoya confirmed the arrest, saying the party was still trying to establish Natumanya’s whereabouts and the charges preferred against him.
By press time, police had not issued a statement on the operation, leaving unanswered questions around the reasons for his detention and the conditions under which he is being held.
