RIP: Angella
Ugandans are mourning the sudden death of journalist Angella Kabagambe Hakiiza, a media professional known for her work with Tayari TV and Uganda Catholic Television. Her body was reportedly found at her home just hours ago, and the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. Colleagues, friends, and former schoolmates have taken to social media and other platforms to express shock and heartbreak at the news.
“I can’t believe that at such a young age, you have left us. May God comfort your husband, little ones and the whole family. Till we meet again,” said Jackie Akampwera. Emanuel Wepukhulu added, “I am so shocked and disturbed by her passing.” Another mourner, Aaron Muliisa, said, “We got the news in the morning. May the good Lord comfort the hubby, little ones left behind and the bereaved families.” Many also remembered Angella from her school days. “Angella was my classmate at Sacred Heart SS. Such a beautiful soul. May her soul rest in perfect peace,” said Aggrey Matsiko.
Emma Asiimwe described her as “a well-behaved and humble OG” who cared for others, especially in the school chapel, while Matthew Tuhairwe said he was “just shocked about the news of Angela’s demise,” praying that her soul rests in eternal peace.
